After the pumpkins and skeletons decorating the houses for Halloween, come the arrangements and cooking plans for the next All American celebration of Thanksgiving [more info here]. It’s all about three Fs: Family, Friends and Food. No Thanksgiving without the cranberry sauce and a stuffed turkey (I wonder what the vegetarians do). Hold to that word ‘stuffing’ because it’s the main ingredient and the main verb that describes the ritual. I am hoping my brother Pascual and my sister-in-law Chelsea will write a guest blog about their Thanksgiving experiences (or anyone one else – welcome!). Because for us it would have been just a little too hectic to travel too far for the long weekend, so we opted for a quit weekend with one of Pascual’s best friend Nick, and his family on Vancouver Island. Canada celebrates Thanksgiving on a different date, so we can just hang out and catch up on old times.
